He is a member of the special committee on resources and environment of the central committee of jiusan society, a member of the academic committee of hohai university, and an academic leader of the river sediment dynamics and ecological protection team of the state key laboratory of hydrology, water resources and water conservancy engineering. Acted as editorial board member of SCI Journal Advances in Water Resources and International Journal of Sediment Research. Engaged in hydraulics and river dynamics.
