The researcher mainly focuses on the study of environmental isotope hydrology and coupled model simulation in lake basins, groundwater quality and health, as well as the mechanisms and ecological effects of floods and droughts. He has successively presided over projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China’s general projects, key projects (as the project leader), youth projects, and open fund projects of the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ key laboratories. He has won the second prize of the Natural Science Award of Hunan Province and has been invited to serve as a member of the Isotope Subcommittee of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences, the Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Natural Resources, and as a young associate editor of journals such as Journal of Arid Land and Scientia Geographica Sinica.
